A family home
Rennington House was built in 1810 by the Duke of Northumberland and remained in their ownership until 2007 when it became the family home of Stuart & Sarah Lang.
Rennington House is one of the finest Georgian farmhouses in Northumberland, admired by many due to it prominent position it could be regarded as somewhat of a landmark. The house was part of a working estate until 2007 when Stuart & Sarah bought it to renovate and create their family home. Over a five year period the house was completely renovated inside and out to create the lovely house it is today.
Here are a few memories of the fun times we had living at Rennington:
Rugby Birthday Party
Rugby on the Front Lawn
Sausage sizzle in the veg garden
Fun on the Beach
Eggs for Breakfast
The barn, stables and kennels have been home to Muffin the Shetland pony, Lollipop, Lester, Rocky and Tic-Tac the pet lambs, Muddy & Goldie the Guinea pigs and a mare and foal who sheltered here one snowy winter. The wood has had chickens in and watch this space………they may be back.
The pigstys make great dens for the kids and the courtyards are fun for scooting, bikes and ride on tractors. Guests are encouraged to pick fruit and vegetables in the garden to enjoy a taste of the countryside.
Stuart & Sarah now live near Edinburgh with their four children and hope you enjoy staying in Rennington House as much as they did.
